Last week I wrote this piece about how Dework as a DAO tooling and project management platform is helping DAOs and DAO contributors shape the future of work.
In this post I will be focusing on a very important feature of the Dework platform: The Profile and Reputation feature.
The importance of having a strong Web3 work profile and reputation in this new age of work that would largely involve DAOs as important employers of labor could never be overemphasized. DAOs are the Web3 organizations that make it possible for blockchain projects to run smoothly and to scale. DAOs need contributors of various categories to be able to function. Contributors could range from bounty hunters to core contributors who all utilize their skills in completing both technical and non-technical tasks and projects for DAOs. DAOs wouldn’t exist without these contributors who are usually members of the DAO community.
As a contributor every contribution you make to any DAO in the form of completing a task or project on the Dework platform is usually registered on-chain. This makes it possible for you as a contributor to have an on-chain work history, which is akin to having your credentials easily accessible to everyone anywhere in the world. It gets even better because it’s like a CV that constantly updates itself with no input needed from you except of course completing tasks and projects.
The Dework profile feature makes it possible to build a strong on-chain proof-of-work and reputation that helps you as a contributor to easily gain a DAO’s trust in a vetting process; giving you the chance to easily land great gigs. In other words whenever you apply for a new gig on Dework your on-chain credentials makes it possible for DAOs to easily vet you and decide whether to trust you with handling and completing a task or major project well and on time.
Your Dework profile displays all the DAOs you are involved in as well as the role you hold as a member of each DAO. All of the tasks and projects you have completed for each DAO is also displayed on your profile. The historical amount you have earned contributing to DAOs and completing tasks, projects and bounties is also displayed on your profile.
The Dework team is hard at work and constantly shipping new features and updates to the platform. A rating feature for DAOs to rate all forms of contributions a contributor makes is in the works. With said feature it would also be possible for contributors who have completed a task, project or bounty to leave a rating reviewing their experience working with any DAO.
In conclusion, Dework is a powerful tool that helps DAO contributors to build a strong on-chain work profile and reputation which would come in handy in the new age of decentralized work and decentralized everything the world is advancing towards.
